Inevitable Music - Sébastien Roux at Punta della Dogana
Inevitable Music - Sébastien Roux at Punta della Dogana
Inspired by the unique work of the American artist Sol LeWitt, French composer Sébastien Roux, a 2015-2016 artist in residence at Villa Medici - French Academy in Rome, composed many electronic and acoustic translations of LeWitt’s wall drawings under the title "Inevitable Music". On October 14, 2016 pieces from "Inevitable Music" were performed by Ensemble Dedalus in front of Sol LeWitt’s Wall Drawing #343, one of the most emblematic artworks of the exhibition “Accrochage” (at Punta della Dogana until November 20, 2016).
